Image Processing Project Ideas For Engineering Students

Image processing projects

Image processing is a technique is used to improve image quality by applying mathematical operations. In fact, it involves modifying images by identification of its two-dimensional signal and enhancing it by comparing with the standard signal. As well as, it is used to modify characteristics parameters related to digital images.

Applications of Image Processing Projects

The field of digital image processing applications such as medical applications, restoration, and enhancements, digital cameras, color processing, remote sensing, pattern recognition, registration techniques, video processing, high-resolution display, the impact of standardization on image processing.

Image Enhancement Techniques

Some of the image enhancement techniques such as

1. filter with morphological operators
2. remove noise with linear and median
3. remap the dynamic range
4. adjust contrast

Latest Trends in Networking Projects

The networking field is changing fast. Here, the latest trends in networking projects such as

• Wi-Fi 6
• 5G
• Digitized spaces
• SD-Wan
• Machine learning

Wi-Fi 6: As a matter of fact, it is also known as 802.11 ax and it is an upgrade on the recent highest-speed Wi-Fi protocol in wide use, 802.11 ac. Wi-Fi 6 provides a dramatic improvement in efficiency across all existing Wi-Fi brands. The biggest improvement that comes with Wi-Fi 6 is that it increases the density of devices that can co-exist in a single space, further increasing the speed of all devices when there is more than one.

5G: 5G will provide improved speed and battery life to smartphones. As well as, the growth of fixed wireless for residences and competing with wired broadband for some communities.

Digitized spaces: New high-resolution geolocation technologies which are based on wireless radios in mobile devices, plus data mining software, are creating opportunities to understand how people and things move via physical spaces. Companies which adopt these technologies will get access to information about the users of their buildings that will open up new possibilities for business extensions and improvements.

SD- WAN : In fact, it allows networks to route traffic that is based on centrally managed rules. No matter what the entry and exit points of the traffic with full security. An example such as, if a user in a branch office is working on Office 365, SD-WAN can route their traffic directly to the closest cloud data center for that app, enhancing network responsiveness for the user and lowering bandwidth cost for the business.
